1. Find out what his favourite TV show is and ask him about it. If you don’t know, find out by casually asking, ‘did you see Singapore Idol /the Simpsons etc’. This strategy works well for movies and games too!
2. If he plays , go and watch him. Grab a few of your buddies and cheer from the sidelines!
3. Be a secret player in his fave online game. You’ll need to find
out his avatar by asking one of his mates first. Then sign yourself up and see what happens. It could be the start of something special!
4. Make friends with some of the girls in his gang. Then you’ll have friends in common and a reason to hang around him. The rest is up to you!
5. Make him laugh. Boys love girls who are funny. It makes them seem more human and approachable. And it’s a great way for you to get noticed and remembered!
6. Throw a party and invite him. Or if you haven’t managed to make friends with him specifically yet, invite his gang and he’s sure to come along.
7. Ask his advice about something. If he’s good at maths, get him to help you with a specific problem. Or if he’s really good a woodwork, ask him to help you make a jewellery box or something like that. Boys love showing off their skills so he’ll jump at the chance!
8. Pair up with him on a school project. It’s always easier to get to know someone if you’re focussed on something else. Pretty soon, though, he won’t be able to focus on anything but you!
9. ‘Accidently’ bump into him on the way to school. This one only really works if you live nearby to him. If you live five miles in the opposite direction and he finds you walking down his street at 8-30 in the morning, he might be a wee bit suspicious!
10. Get tickets to see his fave band (but only if you like them too). If you’re mates with him already, you could see if he fancies coming with you. Otherwise, take your bezzie mate and ‘bump’ into him at the gig.
