Flirting

You keep catching each other's eye. He teases you and laughs loudly at your jokes. All your friends keep telling you he likes you, but does he really? How can you be sure?

There's no figuring boys out. One minute they're throwing frogs and mud at you, the next their voices have gone all deep and they're treating you like you're an alien. Liking a girl after years of running away from them, or kicking them and then running away from them has left its mark. When a boy likes you, he is usually unsure of his feelings and most of all scared of rejection. No one likes to be laughed at after all.

If you like someone, it's not that difficult to know whether they return the feelings. Most probably they're acting the same way you are: either ignoring you, or paying you too much attention; laughing loudly at your jokes, or teasing you mercifully; sitting next to you when there's at least 5 other spare seats, or sitting as far away from you as possible. Confused? Well, so are most boys.

If a boy likes you, there are two ways to play it. If you don't like him, then don't be cruel and tease him or ignore him. Just continue to be his friend, but be careful to keep your distance and DON'T flirt!

If your crush reciprocates your feelings, then yay! But try not to lose your head. Keep this in mind. It may be important to know if he likes you, but you should also ask yourself whether YOU like him. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of being fancied, particularly if he's someone that all your friends like. But it's more important to actually like somebody as a friend. And to like them for a reason other than the fact that they like you.
